Harvest Rice with Vegetables - Net wt. 12 oz., Tasteful and Easy to Prepare Recipe!
Harvest Blend - 1 C Rice Mixture, 2 c water, 1 T Butter or Margarine, 1 tsp salt. In a medium sauce pan, bring the water, marg/butter and salt to a boil. Stir in rice mixture. Cover tightly and reduce to simmer for 25 minutes. Serve.
Variations
Rice & Almonds, In a skillet, saute' 1/2 c Almonds, mushrooms (optional) in 1/4 cup marg/butter until almonds are golden brown. Heat oven to 325. In a large, ungreased casserole dish add 1 cup rice mixture, 2 cups chicken broth, 1/4 cup sherry, and sauteed almonds and mushrooms. Cover tightly and bake 1 1/2 hours or until all liquid is absorbed and rice is tender and fluffy. 4-6 Servings
Stuffed Peppers, To prepare 4 peppers for stuffing - remove seeds and membranes. Parboil until nearly tender, about 10 minutes. Preheat broiler, prepare Harvest Blend Rice recipe above, add 1 can cream soup (tomato, mushroom, chicken or celery). Salt and pepper to taste, add a pinch or 2 of cayenne. 1/2 tsp curry (optional), 1/2 c or more grated cheese. Cover with dry bread crumbs, dots of butter and grated cheese. Sprinkle paprika on top. |
