Boot Scootin' Chili - Dried Pinto Beans (in the bag), Water, 2 lbs or more any ground meat or any combination of ground meat (we like turkey and sausage), 1 Boot Scootin' Seasoning Packet.
Optional (but sure is good) 1 10oz can stewed tomatoes, 1 10oz can tomato sauce, salt & pepper to taste, extra onion, extra cheese.
Uncle Charlie says, even if you can't cook beans, just follow these simple rules. Cover the beans with 2-3 inches of water. We like to boil them real hard and for a few minutes, then turn them way down so they cook just 'til they are about dry, but not too dry (this is where you can really mess up the works!) After they've cooked down some you will want to boil and add water a couple more times. Let them cook until they're tender.
In the meantime, brown the meat. Put the browned meat and seasoning packet in with the beans and juice and let simmer for a while. When Mama gets the cornbread ready, you're ready to do some serious eatin'. Throw that extra cheese and onion on when you serve, if you want.
If you like it hot, add some of that red stuff in the bottle that came attached to the bag. Green chilies or jalapenos will add some fire!
